CONGRATULATIONS TO THE EALING FOXES!
Ealing Foxes have won the Middlesex Foxes Championship by
one point from Grims Dyke Golf Club after a superb display
at Grims Dyke. The winning team were:
Kip Frankson
David Tracey
Andrew Turner
Babu Chauhan
Des Crizzle
Robert Heatley (Capt)
Kip was second in the individual overall, second for the
morning round and nearest to the pin. Robert won nearest the
pin a.m. and 2nd individual p.m.
David was third individual a.m.
This is a great achievement and it goes along with them
winning last years Abrey Cup. They are through to the semi
final of this year’s competition so the Foxes are on a roll.
Any member who has a handicap of between 9 and 19 and who
would like to be considered for the matches should contact
Robert Heatley.
Congratulations !

Dear Foxes As I am sure you all realise, the organising of inter club fixtures is difficult enough for us but when we do not get the responses / support / volunteers to play then it makes it almost impossible. We seem to reply on a small group of players again and again out of a very large Foxes section - we ask ourselves why do the rest of you not want to play?
We have been wondering if this is a symptom of the fact that this format of the game is not what you want - and the fact that every week I have to beg for players seems to indicate that.
We would like you all to reply and vote for your preference so that we can provide golf matches that you want to play
1. Less Matches - and hence drop out of the Abrey Cup 2. Different format - 2.1 No after match dinner 2.2 Buffet or sandwiches after the match 2.3 Morning tee offs 2.4 Less players per match 2.5 Singles and not pairs 2.6 Other - please specify 2.6.1 Play matches at weekends 2.6.2 Less formal arrangements (no jacket and tie) 2.6.3 Other ideas 3. Drop out of the Abrey Cup and play a different group of clubs 4. Play internal Matches only 5. Continue as is and accept the fact that we will sometimes have difficulty fielding a full team 6. Other Suggestions (please make as many others as you like) 6.1 Stay in Abrey Cup but play some different clubs 6.2 Each Fox MUST play in at least one match a year 6.3 Occasionally have a gourmet meal after the match 6.4 Multiple tee start to avoid delay at end of match 6.5 Include side competitions - nearest the pin 6.6 Play each team only once per year (home one year and away the next)
Please reply with your comments and suggestions and we will see if we can make the matches to reflect your desires. We all know that we have a strong section but we need to know what we can do to make these matches more appealing.
Cheers Laurie NOTE: We need to have your views and then we can act on them so please reply.
