The Junior section is a strong section of the club, providing a structure for development of each Junior's ability - monitored by the Junior Organiser and helpers.
It includes:
* Guidance on golf course and club etiquette * Group lessons with an ex-European Tour Professional * Unlimited use of the practice facilities and free play on the course at most times * Extra support to gain an official handicap * 'Fun' type competitions / events * Organized competitions within the section during school holidays and half terms * The opportunity to play in inter-club matches with other juniors
Requirements:
Juniors – up to 12 years old and without a handicap – join the Junior Academy - Proposal Form (signed by parent or guardian) – they should join the group lessons, the roll-ups and friendly competitions to achieve a handicap.
Juniors with an official handicap join the Junior Section - Proposal Form (signed by parent or guardian), followed by interview ( to learn how the club works ) and possibly a lesson or lessons with the Pro dependent on ability.
SUCCESSES OF THE SECTION
Ealing Juniors have enjoyed much success over the years and we have bred individuals and teams that have gone on to achieve great things in the game.
The collective spirit in the section ensures that those who aspire, get to play with and against other like-minded players, who are already achieving. There is no better way to learn, enjoy and improve.
There are many Competitions, internal stablefords and medals and inter-club matches to keep juniors involved.
As this piece is written (Jan 2011) we currently have two Middlesex Champions at U14 and U16 levels. The standard-bearer is Pavan Sagoo, whose family are committed and loyal members of the club. Pavan has acheived great success already, and is currently in the England U16 squad having played some international games in 2010 with notable success.
We welcome new junior members to our thriving set-up here at Ealing.
