Ealing runs two popular Academy programmes

JUNIOR ACADEMY

The Junior Academy at Ealing Golf Cub is perfect for Girls & Boys interested in taking up the game of Golf.

Since its inception in 2004, The Academy has provided an opportunity for over 200 youngsters to learn the basics, with many of them going on to junior membership of the club.

The Junior Academy is held Saturday afternoons and is open to Girls and Boys, aged 7 and above. The 8-week long course is fun and structured concentrating on Golf’s Fundamentals and the understanding of the rules of golf taking your son or daughter right up to the point of playing on the Golf course.

Ealing G.C. Junior academy is run by a fully CRB checked PGA professional.

A further benefit of The Academy, is once you have passed the levels 1 and 2 you will be ready for Junior Membership assessment and the advanced Members academy.

• WEEK 3: IRON PLAY/LONG GAME
• WEEK 4: PUTTING
• WEEK 5: RECAP RULES AND ETTIQUETTE
• WEEK 6: BUNKERS INCLUDING TRICKY LIES
• WEEK 7: SKILLS CHALLENGE
• WEEK 8: 3 HOLE COMPETITION (on practice ground)

LADIES ACADEMY

In 2008, Ealing Golf club introduced The Ladies Academy and it has been a huge success. It is a great way to learn the game and also tremendous fun!

Held on Tuesday mornings, the academy is ideal for the complete beginner or for those who are relatively new to Golf.

Open to Ladies of any age, there are 2 academy levels the initial course is 6-week in duration, which will concentrate on all aspects of the game, including the rules & etiquette. It will also take you right up to the point of playing on the Golf course where you would be ready for our exclusive playing academy.

All this, while importantly, having fun along the way!

Lessons last 1 hour and numbers are limited to ensure quality tuition. Below is the initial academies structure.

• WEEK 1: FUNDAMENTALS
• WEEK 2: IRON PLAY
• WEEK 3: SHORT GAME
• WEEK 4: DRIVING
• WEEK 5: PUTTING
• WEEK 6: ASSESSMENT

Golf Clubs are provided free of charge if required

 The 6^th week is an assessment, aimed at showing off your progress.

The Academy provides the ideal framework for learning Golf, guiding you through the rules and teaching Golf’s much envied etiquette. Once completed, you will be ready for the exclusive on course playing academy which serves the best way of transferring your practice ground skills to the course.

A ‘Taster day’ is organised 2 weeks in advance, It is free and open to all.
