Luke Willett – PGA Teaching Professional
Qualification PGA Fully Qualified Professional since 2007
Experience Originally from Kingston upon Thames, Luke turned professional in August 2004 when enrolling on the PGA national program at the historic Belfry.
Whilst training Luke personally learned from the leading tutors including: David Leadbetter, Dennis Pugh, Peter Mitchel, Jim Christine, Lee Johnson, Karl Morris, Jonathan Shrewsbury, and Justin Buckthorp to name a few.
During this period Luke was promoted to Head teaching professional at prestigious Burhill Golf Club a promotion that was a result of exceptional results. These results include tutoring a beginner through to surrey county team member, and with a separate student a 24 shot handicap reduction to name just 2. Whilst teaching to all levels and abilities, Luke has maintained a competitive standard competing on the UK national circuit, results include numerous top 10’s and:
2008 Winning the PGA South Region Winter Order of Merit
2010 Australian Open Qualifying and Australasian Tour School
Teaching Style “I focus on improving my students technique with a systematic approach: first observing the ball flight, second discussing the cause, and third demonstrating and administrating drills to fix problem”.
Luke is constantly updating his skills by attending PGA development and coaching seminars.
