Due to the uncertainties surrounding the Covid situation and the possible reluctance of Senior golfers willing to play at other golf clubs,we have taken the decision to cancel the Ealing Seniors Open for this year.
This decision was taken with much regret and we look forward to once more seeing our many entrants next year.
Once a new date has been agreed it will be posted on the website and those on our email contact list will be sent individual notifications. Should you wish to have your name placed on this contact list please email: email@example.com or fillout the entry from by clicking the button on the left of this screen
We hope that the pictures below will remind friends and previous entrants of the event
On a blisteringly hot day, we had 88 entrants and some half a dozen dropped out due to illness or fear of playing in the heat.
Anthony Ferguson - Overall winner "Govier Cup"
Keith Buckingham (Over 70s)
Denis Sheehan (Over 80s)
Many visitors from clubs all over the country record their thanks saying this is one of the best open competitions they have ever played in.
The following are quotes from some of the e-mails received after the event:
Just a short note to thank you and your team of volunteers, who put on such a great day. Although I only managed my usual mid-table effort, I thoroughly enjoyed playing your course which was in fantastic condition. And I don't believe I have ever played on better greens, that were so true, I was totally bamboozled. Here's to trying to remember what I learned for next year.
Pass on my thanks to your team who gave up their time to direct and look after us.
Thanks to you and your team for organising the Open. Ron (Ealing) was an excellent host for our group and I really enjoyed the day, despite the heat. I hope to play again in future.
Just a note to thank you for the Ealing Seniors day last Wednesday. You and your "helpers" again did an excellent job of organisation, and everyone had a great day (not always reflected in the scores !)
Irvine Walker, Middlesex County Golf and Pinner Hill, - a regular entrant - passed on his thanks and congratulations for a great competition. He hopes to return with his Pinner Hill colleagues.
